Role Overview:
The Pastry Chef will oversee bakery and dessert production, ensuring high standards of quality and creativity.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and execute dessert menus.
Ensure consistency in pastry production and presentation.
Monitor ingredient quality and manage inventory.
Train and develop pastry kitchen staff.
Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations.
Innovate new pastry recipes and seasonal offerings.
Maintain pastry kitchen equipment and tools.
Work with event planners to develop custom desserts.
Job requirements
Candidate Requirements:
Degree in Pastry Arts or equivalent experience.
6+ years of pastry chef experience in luxury hotels or restaurants.
Expertise in pastry techniques, baking, and cake decorating.
Strong creativity and attention to detail.
Ability to manage high-volume production.
Experience in cost control and inventory management.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Knowledge of gluten-free, vegan, and dietary-specific desserts.
