Role Overview:

The Engineering Assistant Manager will oversee all technical and maintenance operations, ensuring optimal building functionality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire engineering and maintenance department, managing HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.

  • Develop and implement long-term engineering strategies to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Ensure full compliance with local and international safety, health, and building regulations.

  • Lead and mentor engineering teams, providing technical guidance and professional development.

  • Manage engineering budgets, procurement, vendor negotiations, and capital expenditure planning.

  • Drive innovation and implement energy conservation and sustainability initiatives.

  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues to maintain seamless operations.

  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify maintenance improvements and prevent system failures.

Job requirements

Candidate Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.

  • 8+ years of experience in engineering management within large-scale facilities or hospitality.

  • Strong knowledge of advanced building automation systems, sustainability practices, and infrastructure planning.

  • Proven leadership experience in managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to handle high-level technical challenges.

  • Experience in capital project planning, budgeting, and contract negotiations.

  • Strong understanding of compliance with building codes, safety protocols, and risk management.

  • Proficiency in engineering management software and digital maintenance tracking systems.
