Role Overview:
The Director of Operations will oversee all operational departments of the Palazzo Ezulwini International Convention Center and, later, the hotel, ensuring seamless event execution, service excellence, and high operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage convention center operations, including event planning, catering, security, and guest services.
· Support pre-opening strategies, ensuring operational readiness.
· Oversee service quality, maintenance, and guest experience standards.
· Work with sales & marketing teams to optimize event planning and execution.
· Implement cost control measures while maintaining service excellence.
· Lead a team of department heads to deliver exceptional event and hospitality experiences.
Job requirements
Candidate Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field
· 8+ years of experience in hospitality, large-scale events, or convention center operations.
· Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills.
· Proven ability to manage large teams across multiple departments.
· Strong understanding of event planning, logistics, and execution.
· Ability to work under pressure and handle high-profile clients.
· Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
