Role Overview:

The Chief Steward will manage kitchen cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee kitchen cleanliness and sanitation procedures.

  • Supervise stewarding staff and dishwashing operations.

  • Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations.

  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and kitchen equipment.

  • Coordinate with chefs and managers to maintain smooth operations.

  • Train staff on proper sanitation and hygiene procedures.

  • Monitor and maintain waste management programs.

  • Ensure proper handling and storage of kitchen utensils.

Job requirements

Candidate Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in stewarding or kitchen operations.

  • Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations.

  • Ability to manage a team and ensure high sanitation standards.

  • Experience in managing kitchen waste and inventory.

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment maintenance and handling.
